California Department of Motor Vehicles Written Test is different for New Drivers under 18 Years Old
Thursday, September 29th, 2011Teen drivers taking the California DMV permit test may be sorted into two different groups: Students over 18 who receive a Class C Operators License and Students below 18 who receive a Provisional License.
The written test for each is different. If you are over 18-years old, your test questions and answers is based on the California Drivers Handbook. If you are under 18-years old your Practice Permit Test is from the California Driver Handbook and the California Parent Teen Training Guide.
This variation is essential when you shop for a practice test. dmvCramCourses.com provides online permit tests for both written exams. If you are below 18-years old, you need the Learner Permit sample test. If you are over 18-years old, you need the New Driver sample test.
